Workshop Wednesday grades 8 and 9

Our workshops provide art infused with culture, geography, and history. Our students are responsible for researching art and history of a country, creating art based on that culture, and teaching a mini art lesson to the rest of the class, guided by Ms. Simon.

Cadet Lorenzo hangs up his finished dreamcatcher after researching the history of Ojibwe dreamcatchers.

Cadet Maier creates a wire form for his polymer clay sculpture inspired by the movie Alien. The design for the Alien in the movie was created by Swiss artist, HR Giger


Cadet Zhou explores oil pastel scratch art based on the Dutch painter, Vincent Van Gogh
Cadet Debrees works on an embellished felt pillow based on traditional Russian Nesting Dolls
