Studio Art Project 1: "Earth and/or Air" theme using B&W drawing center

Our Studio Class was challenged to create Two-Dimensional Work using black and white drawing materials such as charcoal, conté crayon, chalk pastel, black and white oil pastel, and pencil. Our class generated the theme "Earth or Air" and chose to select the concept of Emphasis, one of the Principles of Design. They researched, planned, and created different works that represent Earth or Air with Emphasis.
Cadet Ford creates a charcoal drawing of a horse based on the grid-drawing method used by Chuck Close
